The core pattern

Positive: She has found the key. They have visited Egypt.

Negative: She has not found the key.

Question: Has she found the key?

Participles: finish → finished, see → seen, write → written, break → broken.

When do we use it?

Result now: He has broken the vase, so it is damaged now.
Experience: We have visited a pyramid.
Recent event: She has just arrived.
Unfinished time: They have lived here for five years.

Common misconceptions

Use a past participle, not the simple past: “has seen,” not “has saw.”
